YOUTH activities at WBC
Young people are an essential part of the church family here at Whetstone Baptist Church, and there’s space to learn about God, develop faith and build friendships.
If you would like more information, or to talk to someone about the young people’s activities at WBC please see below, and contact us with any questions.
Springwell youth
A Morning Space - Sundays 10AM
Morning Space – two groups during term time
Learn more about God, Jesus and how the Bible is relevant to you. Start off in Church at 10am. We meet every week in both term times and holidays. Sometimes we all meet as one group! Once a month, we join the adults for Communion.
Years 7 – 9: Leave church at usual time and meet in Youth pod
Years 10 – 13: Stay in church until the end of all worship and then meet in Room 3

SPRINGWELL YOUTH​
AN EVENING Space - NEW TIME: Sundays 6.30-8.00pm
Youth group for years 7 – 13 on Sundays during term time at Springwell. We will divide into two groups (older and younger) for many activities. Join the WhatsApp group with an adult by messaging Nichola for weekly updates.

Youth band is open to all youth – no experience necessary and all are welcome!

Baptism
If you are interested in finding out more about baptism or are considering taking this step, then chat to one of the youth leaders.
Teen House Group – Winging it for jesus
Home Group for older teens (year 10 and above or post baptism) who are interested in exploring faith and the bible on a deeper level.
Held in Springwell on Tuesdays in term time: 7.00pm – 9.00pm

Summer 2025 – Satellites – 6th – 10th August (Home on 11th August) Bath and West Showground, Shepton Mallet
Camping Trip away at a Christian Festival aimed at young people in year 8 and above. Think huge worship music with thousands of young people, amazing bible teaching and an opportunity to build great friendships in our group.
This is an amazing experience and for most people is the highlight of the Year. Talk to Jamie, Nichola, Abbie or Jack (or any of those who went in 2024) for more info!

It costs £99 if paid before 2nd December 2024.
Church will fund youth who would otherwise be unable to attend due to financial hardship – talk or message Nichola who will keep this confidential.
Difficulty paying for camp or any other activity but want to join in?
Talk to Nichola in confidence and the Church will pay on your behalf.
We will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power, and the wonders he has done... so that the next generation would know them… [and] they would put their trust in God.
